A belated Happy New Year to each and every one of you! How are you all doing? Still alive? I think it's safe to say that 2018 was not the happiest year on record. Alas, onward and upward we go.
2018 saw the start and completion of my first draft WIP. As I may have mentioned, it's a thriller set in Japan. Now that I've given it a few weeks to simmer, I'm ready to begin the editing process.
However, in that simmering downtime, new ideas began to surface. Let me explain it with a well worn Twitter meme that should have died in 2018.
That's right, I've got my heart set on another novel.
2019 is going to be my year. It's also going to be a balancing act. I plan to keep to a 2/1 schedule: two days of editing for every one day of writing. This should allow me to balance my old WIP and my new WIP. If I'm lucky, by the end of 2019 I'll be ready to query my first WIP and have my second WIP's first draft complete.
In the meantime, give me a few days, and I'll let you know about my newest pet project, which begins tomorrow.
Toodles for now!
